De Duplicator: A Custom Solution for Resolving Duplicate IDs and Enhancing Data Integrity in Universities

  • DUP MERGE simplifies the resolution process by using Duplicate Ids, providing a interface for merging duplicates, and ensuring data integrity across Banner, Colleague, and other essential systems. With DUP MERGE, universities can maintain accurate records, reduce administrative overhead, and enhance the student experience through streamlined data management.
  • The Process includes putting 2 identified duplicate Ids or find the duplicate ids from the backend and the algorithm which couldbe customized based on universities and find out the universities which can find the records of that duplicate ids.
  • The process involves inputting two identified duplicate IDs, and then utilizing a customizable algorithm tailored to each university’s specific needs. This algorithm accurately locates and consolidates records associated with those IDs across university systems, ensuring a streamlined and precise merging process. Future upgrades for DUP MERGE may include automated detection of duplicate IDs, further enhancing its efficiency. This feature would proactively identify potential duplicates, allowing universities to address them swiftly and maintain clean, accurate data recordswithout manual input and bulk merge.
  • You can choose the section which you want to merge data with, you can also preserve the id or purge the id based on the need you can purge, or merge id as shown in the images below which could be beneficial to the university to achieve the merger. It would also find the best possible way of getting fixed the merged id.
